Welcome to the Website of the Seattle Temple Grounds

This website was created to show the beauty of the grounds and document a history of the operations and happenings of the temple grounds crew.  We are privileged to work at such a special and diverse landscape that provides peace and tranquility to all who come in through the gates.

It is not sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, nor is it meant to be an "official" website for the Temple.  This website is, by no means, overshadowing the important work that goes on inside the Temples, but with the hope to enhance that work. Here is a website you can visit to learn more about Temples.  Our main purpose in making this website is to keep an ongoing history of the grounds.  It will be a valuable resource to look to when we are facing future challenges and decisions related to the grounds, horticulture and facility management.

As of August 26th, 2016 the grounds crew consists of Mark Holt, Grounds Supervisor; Dan Finch, Senior Gardener; Richard Nelson, Senior Gardener; and temporary summer workers, Sean Clark and Colin Hetherington.  As a team, we will post messages and pictures that reflect the beauty of this place and helpful information to remember later on.  Also, I hope to use this website as a source for the past workers to reminisce and see 'what's happening on the grounds.'  We are blessed to be able to work at the Seattle Temple with great people in an amazing environment.  We felt like we needed to share this great work and hope you will come away with a deeper love for the Temples of God!
