We recently added some blue rock in the grove areas of the temple. Quarter-inch sized blue rock from Washington Rock Quarries in Tacoma. The product was donated by Church member, Harry Hart, who owns the quarries that mine that beautiful-blue rock. I decided to try to mimic the rake lines that Asian Zen gardeners use to create "waves in the ocean" or "rivers." If you want to learn more about the history of Zen Gardening, check out this link:
Here's our first try at adding these lines to the grove areas. I thought they look really nice and they added a different feeling to the grove for sure. Calmness and simplicity.
