This flower arrangement we did at the Temple grounds is one of my favorites and I'm glad we did it at the west sign because it seems to be a gathering spot for lots of groups that come to the temple. I love how well the Miscanthus sinensis 'Variegatus' ornamental grass along with the petunias, geraniums, sweet potato and purple heliotrope combined together to form a great mix of colors and textures. I also added in some umbrella grasses, but I think they got swallowed up a little.
The fun thing about gardening is you can create new and exciting mixtures of flowers, but you have to wait until mid summer to see the results. There is some planning, risk, maintenance and a lot of faith involved. We are fortunate with our staff and resources that we can produce a wonderful garden for people to enjoy as they come to the Temple.
