Large Maintenance Closure at the Temple

The Seattle Temple will be closed for three months until after Thanksgiving, due to a large shutdown needed for building renovations.  During a long maintenance closure the temple works on things that take longer than a usual 2-4 week closure that is held bi-annually.  The temple is getting a new roof, which is the big project they are focusing most of their efforts on.  Everyone inside and out is trying to get projects done and we are trying to get ahead of the rain that will be coming soon.  We will miss going to the temple inside while it is closed, but as soon as Thanksgiving comes, it will be looking really nice and clean for everyone who enters.  We are doing a few things out on the grounds as well to help rejuvenate our 40 year-old edifice.  We are working on building new sidewalk ramps, drainage in the lawn, trees needing to be cut down, adding new grass, and gold leafing the letters on the signs.  We are trying to stay on top of our daily tasks as well and getting ready for the leaf cleanup that will be coming up here soon.  Here are some pics of a few of the projects going on:
